Jeff Steinmetz and the rSs team captured press shots for DJ Icon. At the age of 16, ICON diligently rose through the ranks of the San Francisco underground at a time when female DJs and promoters were few. She is ranked in Shejay’s “Top 100 Female DJs” and was recently voted as one of San Francisco’s top ten DJs in the Nitevibe “Top 10 DJ Dreamteam” Poll. You may have also caught one of her XM radio shows on Thump Funk, or remember her being cast as the DJ on the internationally syndicated MTV™ series “The Wade Robson Project”. Sequoia recently photographed Eskmo for promotional images. ”Brendan Angelides, aka “Eskmo” & “Welder” , is a San Francisco based producer & live performer. Eskmo has been featured in numerous publications and on such shows as BBC Radio 1 and RinseFM and has performed throughout the UK, into Spain, France and Canada. Aside from international bookings, he has performed in clubs, at theaters and at festivals in major cities across the US. He has shared the stage with notable acts such as Amon Tobin, Flying Lotus, Scuba, The Glitch Mob, Si Begg, Tipper and others.
Indie Band ‘Po Girl’ Album Cover
Po’ Girl took a break from their busy tour schedule during a stop through San Francisco to work with our photography team. We helped design their tour poster and one of our favorite images is now featured on the cover of their latest live album. Po’Girl released their 4th studio album “Deer in the Night” to critical acclaim in May 2009- they followed that up with “ Po’Girl Live” in July 2009 – a live album recorded at various shows over the last year.
